Which version of the Italian Job do you think is best? The 1969 original with Michael Caine and the cliffhanger or the 2003 remake with Mark Wahlberg in LA.

For me it's this one

True but the remake while it technically is a remake also isn't because I don't think they are really in Italy except for the beginning. I haven't seen it in a while because I don't care for it anymore.

Michael Caine. The only people I know who like the remake didn't know about the original (and also seriously believed that new Mini coopers were so cool because they could do all that stuff).

The remake is a guilty pleasure of mine. I have fond memories watching that movie with my brothers. But the intro on the original can't be beat!

Personally, I think the 2003 one was a really good film, but it will NEVER be better than the original.

No Michael Caine did the original. The one with real Mini's. Mark Wahlberg did the remake with the BMW MINI Coopers.

BMW didn't make the Mini Cooper in the 60s.

I'm refusing to acknowledge the remake. I'm pretending it doesn't exist. I'm doing it like a shit head. I'm guessing it's lost in translation.

The original of course, but I will say that the 2003 film is one of the best examples of a remake I've ever seen. I think it's mainly because they don't follow the original storyline as closely as possible, updating it for the 21st century.

This post is all sorts of entertaining. I like the modern one better. Not that I didn't like the classic, I was just expecting more from it. So I guess you could say my expectations it for me.
